How to prepare Dice

Zinc Alloy

Metal Dice Series is mainly made of zinc alloy and then it is plated with a black nickel material. The reason behind using zinc alloy is it's very easy to mold and compared to creating something out of an alternative metal it is much less expensive. Suppose to make our metal sets if we had to use 100% copper, then not only would it be a lot more expensive for the end consumer to buy from Plastic Dice wholesale but it's also much harder to work with.

We're not restricted to work with these materials but we may think of doing it in the future. So as of now our audience prefers a cheaper price range but with full functionality.

Acrylic

Typically, we use an acrylic material for our translucent dice. This provides it an overall plastic look and shine. Since in the translucent dice no one wants to see minor air bubbles so we typically steer clear of resin on the translucent dice.

In the market in many Wooden dice factory most dice are made of either acrylic or resin.  Both the materials are quite durable and hold up to abuse very well.

Resin

From two different materials our plastic or standard dice are made; acrylic and resin. Resin is a type of material that is easy to create and mold.

In the creation of our translucent dice resin is rarely used as it has a tendency to contain small air bubbles. When you look at a translucent dice air bubbles can take away from overall final look.

Opaque dice are sometimes prepared from resin and sometimes acrylic. Everything depends on the style of the dice. For opaque dice both materials are fantastic.

Stone and Aluminum Dice

Currently we do not offer any dice made out of gemstone or aluminum. We’re not restricted to it, but we simply haven't created any yet.

Aluminum is a great material but for the consumer it can be expensive.

Stone dice are cool but we've found that they are not as suitable for game play. You will find many Plastic Dice wholesale. Stone has a tendency of wearing out or chip. It is extremely hard to accurately number stone dice which is the reason that you see many stone dice for sale. But maximum many of them are off centered on their numbering.

How to Select the Right Plastic Dice

When it comes to plastic dice, each side of metal dice and plastic die has pros and cons. It depends on your preferences and needs. Here we will compare metal dice to plastic dice and will help you in deciding which type is best for you.

Never Get Them Wet

If metal dice get wet it can get rust, while plastic dice cannot.

Metal dice may not be the best option for you if you’re the type of gamer that likes to play in the rain or underwater.

More Bouncy, Less Stable

Plastic dice are the way to go for those of you who want more rolling per dice roll.

As compared to plastic dice, metal dice do not roll, which may appear to be less random. However, in both kinds of dice the true source of randomness is shaking them in your hand.

With that said, Plastic dice manufacturer makes them more likely to bounce off the table if you’re not using a dice tray as they bounce around more, like this hexagon shaped folding dice tray.

Then again, if you’re using metal dice you might want to pick up a dice tray because they can scratch and dent the surface of wooden tables.

Less Money, More Variety

Plastic dice can never have the weight or feel of metal dice, but they do make up for it in other ways.

Price is the biggest advantage plastic dice offer. For metal dice you will have to pay a premium, but for the same price as a single set of metal dice you can buy plastic dice in bulk.

And with that lower price tag comes it provides unbelievable variety of colors and patterns. They can even be translucent. With multi-color swirls and patterns, you can find clear plastic dice, and is embedded with glitter or objects like gears.

Taking Care of Them

Without much concern you can bang plastic dice around as they are more forgiving. But you should not be careless. Consider an opaque case that will protect them from the elements and being crushed if on a regular basis you’re going to be transporting plastic dice.
